Our Tube for Hydraulic Cylinder, also known as Skived and Roller Burnished Precision Tubes, is specifically designed for the manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders. These tubes undergo a cold drawing process, followed by skiving and roller burnishing to achieve the desired characteristics.
Skiving and roller burnishing is a finishing method that transforms the surface layer of the tube without removing material in the form of chips. This process enhances the surface quality and eliminates spiral grooves, resulting in a smooth and polished surface finish. The roughness of the final surface is Ra 0.2, providing excellent surface quality.
While the skiving and roller burnishing process may not achieve the same level of geometric accuracy as honing, it offers advantages in terms of surface quality and finish. The absence of spiral grooves ensures improved sealing performance and reduced friction in hydraulic cylinders.
Our Hydraulic Cylinder Tubes are made from ST52.3 BK+S (E355SR) material, which is similar to 11523 steel according to ČSN (Czech Standards). This low-carbon steel grade offers excellent weldability and is specifically chosen for its suitability in hydraulic cylinder applications.
