Hydraulic Cylinder Pre-Honed Tube

The Hydraulic Cylinder Pre-Honed Tube is specifically designed for hydraulic cylinder applications, where the inner diameter (ID) needs to be honed to achieve a smooth finish. This tube is intentionally produced with an oversized wall thickness, allowing for the honing process to be carried out to achieve the desired ID dimensions.
By using a pre-honed tube, machine time is reduced since the initial rough machining of the ID is already done. This saves time and increases efficiency during the cylinder manufacturing process. Additionally, waste is minimized as there is no need for excessive material removal during honing.
Honed tubes are widely recognized and used in industries as the primary material for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders. They play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of hydraulic systems.
At our manufacturing facility, we produce the honed pipes using "Suitable to Hone" Steel Cold Drawn Seamless Tubes (CDS tubes) and Steel Cold Drawn Welded Tubes (CDW tubes). These tubes are selected for their suitability for the honing process and their ability to achieve extremely precise ID dimensions and a smooth ID surface.
The honing process involves using abrasive polishing stones and abrasive paper to remove small amounts of material, resulting in a smooth and precise ID surface. In addition to honing, we also employ the SRB (Skiving and Roller Burnishing) process to produce honed tubing, further enhancing the surface quality and finish.
